Accessing the Universe & Experiencing Synchronicity at a Higher Level

The term “synchronicity” is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but do you really know what it is, let alone understand when it is playing out in your day-to-day life? Synchronicity is a concept that was first introduced in the 1930s by analytical scientist Carl Jung. It centers around the idea that events are “meaningful coincidences” if they occur with no causal relationship, yet seem to be significantly related.


While you may not have heard of this term before, it is highly likely that you have personally experienced such events in your life. The law of attraction, which is believed to govern the universe, uses the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize those thoughts into things. While the law of attraction does play a role in synchronicity, their commonality really lies within the alignment that exists between our inner and outer worlds.

When your energy remains open and you are actively seeking something out, through increased levels of awareness, then like attracts like. Your energy sends ripples into the universe and that energy is matched back to you. We are actually all in synchronicity to such a great extent that we may REALIZE it is happening, but we don’t talk much about it.


You may be asking yourself if these are truly signs from the universe or simply pure coincidences? Well, when it comes down to it, the answer to that is entirely up to you and what your current belief system is. At its core, experiencing synchronicity may require you to open your mind on a deeper level, loosen your preexisting restrictions and still the noise of logic. In and of itself, the phrase “meaningful coincidence” implies that it holds meaning for YOU. The responsibility for interpreting coincidences and deriving their significance falls within us. It isn’t necessarily the form, or how, the event takes place, but rather the essence of it, or interpretation, and what you are experiencing when it presents itself to you.

Those who live more intuitively tend to pick up on the signs and signals more so than others. Synchronicities are really the universe’s way of communicating with you and sending you guidance or direction. Eating healthy and pursuing balance in your lifestyle with regards to your diet, relationships, career, spirituality, physical movement, etc., accelerates and amplifies your experience with synchronicity. People who live life in balance, with respect to nature, tend to be in the right place at the right time more often than people who are out of balance. You become more aligned with yourself and the universe when the mind, body and soul are healthy and in sync. To maximize the synchronicities that exist in your personal life you must seek balance, set clear intentions, and begin to keep track of the signs that do pop-up. If you can access this deeper level of awareness, then your thoughts can come to fruition and what you want in life is not only more accessible to you, but can become a reality for you.


There are many lessons that we can learn from the synchronicities we encounter. They work to support our highest good, encourage what is best for us, act as a sources of confirmation, and stop plans that aren’t meant for us in order for something better to take shape, while also slowing down time and reminding us that the universe is alert, alive and paying attention to us. We must actively pick up on these signs and signals through our own CONSCIOUS recognition and REDUCTION of willfulness, otherwise, we will be more apt to find ourselves in the wrong places at the wrong times and see ourselves as victims of our circumstances. If you are able to change your conscience through acquiring a greater sense of balance, you can change your life, trusting that each part of it is not merely a random occurrence but fate, uniquely designed for you.


While I do understand this concept may not resonate with you or directly correlate with your current beliefs, I do find that thinking in a more critical manner and allowing yourself to explore conflicting ideas can yield extreme benefits. With that being said, I highly encourage and challenge you to unlock your mind to new perspectives and start to see how your lifestyle and beliefs interact with one another. If you start to observe life through a new lens, you may just be surprised at what you learn about yourself along the way. Live in the present, question your experiences, explore your thoughts, and, above all else, get to know who you are and what you believe in for YOURSELF, not necessarily just accepting what you have been taught thus far. Then, and ONLY then, will the world will be at YOUR fingertips.
